As an IT Systems Specialist at Tangam, you will establish and maintain proper standards and practices across the company and contribute to the growth of Tangam’s industry-leading casino optimization software, the company, and its offices.

The ideal candidate will be a self starter and must possess a sound grasp of Information Technology, System Administration, and Network Engineering principles.  They will leverage their ability to understand a wide variety of technical requirements and translate them directly into actionable decisions.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include :

 - Establishing and maintaining IT, security and risk management practices (NIST 800-53)

- Identifying and procuring needed hardware and software.

- Configuring company hardware and software in a repeatable and consistent way that ensures maximum security and safety of our employees and company data.

- Expanding and maintaining the company's corporate network in a secure and scalable manner (e.g. subnetting, network isolation, WiFi, VPNs, SSL, firewalls, intrusion detection, etc.)

- Setting up and ensuring compliance to company-wide IT policies (e.g. password management, proper hardware and software usage, peripheral usage, etc.)

- Deploying, supporting and managing internal applications (e.g. web applications, servers, databases, tools, etc.)

- Managing hardware, software, and cloud-based vendor services (e.g. licenses, inventory management, configuration, and access controls)

- Managing backups and ensuring a regular backup schedule of core company assets using a mix of intermediate and full backups.

- Occasionally required to work outside of normal business hours to update, deploy, fix, or troubleshoot corporate infrastructure.

Qualifications and Experience :

 Requirements :

  • Degree or Diploma in a discipline related to IT or Computer Science
  • 5+ years of professional IT / SysAdmin experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Active Directory experience (i.e. GPO)
  • Strong networking (DHCP, DNS, Routing, Firewall, VLANs), network security, and protocols skills
  • Experience with troubleshooting and maintaining Windows Servers, Windows OS, and Linux.
  • Experience with License Management.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and maintaining Virtual Environments (e.g. Hyper-V)
  • Experience with troubleshooting and maintaining databases (e.g. MS SQL)
  • The ability to communicate well with technical and non-technical contacts
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Implemented IT Service Management processes and service delivery.
  • Exposure to IT governance (NIST 800-53). 
  • On-site work is mandatory.

  • Base salary of $70K - $90K + performance-based bonus
